Candyce Marsh Enters Pro Modified With Sponsorship From Bar’s Leaks!

March 24, 2005

Candyce Marsh will enter the ranks of professional motorsports with sponsorship from Bar’s Products, maker of Bar’s Leaks, who will become the primary sponsor of Candyce Marsh Racing. Marsh will be a teammate to EFI Wizard and championship contender Harold Martin. The team will compete in the highly-competitive Pro Modified category, as Bar’s Leaks will also be an associate level sponsor on Martin’s AC Delco Grand Am.

“Being able to compete in a professional category is a dream come true. I am excited about having a relationship with Bar’s Leaks. It is a great company with great products. With the support of Bar’s Products and Harold, I am confident this will be a success,” says Marsh, a 23 year old graduate student at North Carolina A & T State University. In addition to drag racing, she is pursuing her master’s degree in Industrial Technology.

“Bar’s Leaks could not be happier to move into the IHRA Pro Mod ranks for 2005 and to have the opportunity to be associated with Harold Martin’s AC Delco team and to be the primary sponsor on his team car with Candyce Marsh driving. Candyce and her team should do a wonderful job representing both Bar’s Leaks and Martin Racing and we look forward to a long relationship with both teams!” Pat Ellerholz, Bar’s Leaks Motorsports Manager.

Racing since 17 years of age, Marsh has experienced numerous successes. She consistently ranks as one of the top eight qualified cars in the Top Sportsman category. Well respected by her peers for her driving prowess and competitive edge, Marsh progressed through numerous rounds of eliminations in every race of the 2004-racing season. Victory for Candyce Marsh is imminent, as she makes continuous strides to cultivate her racing career. Marsh’s debut in the Pro Modified class demonstrates her unwavering willpower and ambition for pursuing her dreams.

Marsh’s father, Clarence Marsh, a former Top Sportsman driver, laid the foundation for his daughter to begin the path of becoming a professional racecar driver. In addition to racing, Marsh’s parents supported her other talents including public speaking, cheerleading and dance. As a result, she continues to be a dynamic role model for aspiring youth.

Interested in developing the next generation of racing talent, Harold Martin works closely with his protégé, Marsh, in all aspects of motorsports. Martin, a successful businessman recognized internationally for his revolutionary Electronic Fuel Injection systems, embodies the values of education, hard work, and perseverance. Martin says, “I have known Candyce since she was 17 years old. She is a very bright young lady. I told her I would be glad to guide and direct her as long as she continued her education.”

Martin continued on to say, “Boy has she listened! She has graduated with her Bachelor’s degree and is on her way to her Master’s. She has accumulated an outstanding amount of ‘seat time’ in the racecar, and is an extremely balanced person, taking in everything she can from all avenues of motorsports both on and off the track.

The partnership between Bar’s Leaks and Candyce Marsh is sure to be a success. Thrilled with the opportunities of the 2005-racing season, Candyce Marsh moves closer to etching her name in racing history.
