DMPE Inc. To Introduce Modern Technology To Nostalgia Racing Market!
Darren Mayer Performance Engineering Inc. in conjunction with Kobelco Superchargers Inc. has now released its 6-71 Superman Supercharger. The industry leader in roots style superchargers adds the 6-71 Superman to its already impressive roster of products.
The Superman design, which went into production in early 2001 on 14-71 units, brings added elements of performance and safety to the racing world. Darren Mayer, designer of the unit, explains, “On all the Superman style units, the front bearing housings have three inches of billet material that are press fit into the rotor case. This increases the strength considerably over the common dowel pinned bearing housings normal to most supercharger designs. The rear cover is also captured in the same way.
This design also benefits repeatability of rotor location. As these units are overhauled, the doweled design tends to wobble out the bores and the rotors find themselves misaligned over time, which can cause supercharger malfunction. We provide a unit that is less apt to failure and has more longevity".
The 6-71 unit, which mainly sees use on the nostalgia tour, will provide these types of cars with better performance with a higher regard to safety. All classes from AA Gas Supercharged to Nostalgia Top Fuel are required to run 6-71 units. This will only make for a better show for the fans, racers and governing bodies involved.

Speedtech Nitrous Multi-Stage Controller!
With all the traction limited class racing such as Outlaw 10.5, Extreme Street, Heavy Street and True Street becoming more popular a call has gone out to distribute nitrous in a more timely matter to add power, much like the Top Fuel cars locks up a clutch. Speedtech Nitrous has created a nitrous controller to help bring the horsepower to the track.
With this unit you're able to manually control from one to four stages of nitrous and a purge system or even electric shocks. It has inputs available for an arming switch, wide open throttle switch, trans brake interrupt, or clutch switch to activate the first stage of nitrous. Multi-systems will be activated through Digi-Set timers once the unit starts tracking. Positive and negative outputs from the unit are also provided for timing retards.
An optional timer delayed activation module and delay timer are available to turn on the first to fourth stages of nitrous at a pre-determined time interval after leaving the starting line. The delay timer is adjustable from .1 to anywhere down the track which lets you bring the race track to you.
The controller unit is easy to install with just a power input and ground required. It will control most any type of nitrous system. Complete with all of the necessary wiring instructions and even has diagnostic LEDs for all inputs and outputs.

The SDL can be purchased as a display-only dash or as a combined dash logger with an impressive 8Mb of memory, and because each unit has data logging capability built in, display-only SDLs can be upgraded at any time via password, allowing customers to take advantage of MoTeC’s data acquisition expertise at their convenience.
As a display, the compact and lightweight Sport Dash is a clever alternative to the multitude of gauges many drivers rely on to monitor parameters such as speed, RPM, boost and all the vital temperatures and pressures. The screen layout and units of measurement (e.g. imperial vs metric) are user-defined to suit individual preferences, while an optional, adjustable backlight ensures suitability for all driving conditions. To keep things running smoothly under the hood, fully programmable warning alarms can be set to alert drivers to such dangers as low oil pressure, high engine temperature and low fuel level. The SDL can also be configured to activate warning lights and shift lights.
With logging enabled, the unit becomes a powerful tool to analyze and improve vehicle performance, enabling users to fine tune race setup, tweak engine performance and develop faster driving techniques. With an in-built lateral G sensor, the SDL makes Track Mapping easy, and for instant feedback behind the wheel, a live Lap time Gain/Loss feature allows the driver to see at a glance how their current time compares with their fastest on file.
Data can be logged at up to 200 samples per second then quickly downloaded via USB for comprehensive analysis. Just like its big brother, the ADL2, the new SDL uses MoTeC’s exclusive Interpreter software - the same analysis program used by championship winners and record holders worldwide. An optional Pro Analysis upgrade delivers an extensive package of advanced tools including XY plots, multiple overlays, math's functions, rainbow mapping and lap reports/statistics.
Mindful of those new to data acquisition, MoTeC has designed custom set up software, Sport Dash Manager, with a simplified interface to keep the configuration process straightforward and user-friendly. As with all MoTeC products, the software is free of charge and when new versions are released online, users can download them at no cost.
The Sport Dash Logger is equipped with CAN and RS232 communications and comes standard with a 37 pin military spec connector. An optional Wideband Lambda input allows users to log air fuel mixtures and, when combined with a MoTeC E888 expansion module, the SDL provides additional scope to measure eight exhaust gas temperatures, making it ideal for high performance V8 applications such as drag racing.

Finally a performance replacement coil for the popular Gen III GM small block! This engine, most notably the LS-1 and LS-6, is fast becoming a favorite performance engine. But, not just in Camaros, the new GTO and Corvettes - also in muscle cars and street rods.
The complex electronic controls of the original coils presented the aftermarket with a challenge as the drivers that control the firing of the coils are built into the OE models. MSD engineers were able to design an advanced circuit that will operate with the factory electronics of the Gen III engine controls while producing a higher output spark. Not only do you get a higher voltage spark, but the coil will deliver multiple sparks! That’s right - multiple spark discharge coils! Notice that the coil has two connectors molded into the custom housing. One accepts the factory coil connector, the other is for an upcoming ignition controller. (This controller is still in the development stages but it will allow you to program functions of the ignition. We’re planning a lot more for the Gen III fans!) The new coils mount in place of most factory LS-1 and LS-6 coils.

The NCC merge collector is constructed of 304 Stainless Steel. Built for
low end torque, this collector will broaden the torque band in more friendly
rpm which will help save valvetrain parts and usage. Six sizes are available
